“On my first ever trip to Yosemite National Park, wildfires were rampant throughout the region and cast a haze across the sky. I arrived to the park just in time for sunrise and this was the first image I captured that day. Alan Ross had advised me of many places that he and Ansel Adams had taken photographs from in their years working together, so I spent the rest of the day working my way through the park and a few of those locations.” - Greg Piazza
